Topics: New Frame Styles

Not to be dismissed as just another eco-friendly publicity gimmick, this new range of frames by Modo Eyewear has a lot going going for it. For one, all the pieces are very stylish and secondly, they are all made from 95% recycled materials. Even better, the stainless steel they use is in most frames is 100% recycled. In fact, everything about these frames are recycled, right down to the packaging they are shipped in.

Modo eyewear have already raised the bar on their ‘green campaign’ and for every pair of frames sold, they will donate a tree to the ‘Trees for the future’ organisation. Already, over 650,000 trees have been planted buy the organisation in Cameroon, which is a very encouraging signal regarding the potential effect this will have on the long term future of sustainable materials. Modo are also actively encouraging their customers to donate old frames which will eventually be distributed amongst developing countries. You can view the full ‘Eco’ collection here.
