The Boxpark ‘pop-up-shop’ retail centre in Shorditch, London is home to a new up-and-coming eyewear designer brand hoping to take the London eyewear scene by storm. Playne Eyewear for Men‘PLAYNE EYEWEAR’ was born from an idea by creative genius Denis Beyer and entrepreneur Jonas Koblin.  They have already established themselves in the bustling city of Bangkok where they sell funky sunglasses to the young trendy population of ‘fashionistas’. Since then they have expanded their presence by opening another eyewear store under the name of ‘Nich Nation’, selling some pretty impressive and unique designer frames.

It was in 2011 that they started their own brand of eyewear after a chance meeting with a German optometrist, who already owned an established glazing lab to cater for his prestigious opticians practice back in Germany.Playne Eyewear for Women PLAYN specialise in creating and selling high quality, unique acetate frames. Their latest venture can be experienced by visiting the BOXPARK pop-up-shopping centre, which is constructed mainly of re-fitted shipping containers, where retailers can rent space for relatively low monthly cost. A great idea if you are thinking of starting up your own retail business with very little risk. Checkout their website here.

Really cool selection of glasses on their website. Couldn’t help but snigger at their ‘bastard amber’ coloured sunglasses. Outrageous but fun!
