Seen this website offering very cheap glasses but cannot find a review for ozeal glasses. Does anyone have any experience buying spectacles from this online company?

I ordered 2 pairs of cheap glasses from Ozeal. I've had them just over 3 months but both pairs have developed problems. The arm fell of my first pair after about 3 weeks. I took them into an opticians but they told me the metal hinge had snapped. Still, I had my back up pair - until around 2 weeks ago when the small metal bits that hold the nose pads snapped off. OK, I only paid around £15 for both pairs but I would have been better off going to Specsavers and spending an extra £30 to get a 2 for 1 deal. Lesson learned.Frown

Ozeal glasses are based in India. It looks as though they have a business address over here but they could have just hired some cheap place to register their UK business. I'm not saying that is the case but I have to admit, it looks very suspicious. other than that, the site looks very good and is updated often. It is easy to use and looks very clean. The glasses are also very cheap. I suppose you can't really go wrong for under £10. If they break, just buy another pair.

I purchased a pair from their website in November last year for a very good price. I would highly recommend them. The only problem I can see is that they don't sell glasses that are available on the high street here in the UK so you can't try them on before you buy online. I think their company is in India somewhere which is why they can sell them so cheap.

I've been stung twice now, buying glasses and sunglasses from foreign internet sites. I love the way some of them make it look like they are based over here by renting out a UK address. Usually when Google the address it's in a building where there are around another 100 other businesses registered to. A great example of this was from a company I used a while back who were registered in a Street in London but when I went to visit their premises they were not anywhere to be seen. I went there to return some glasses that were faulty.

My advice is only ever to buy from a proper UK based business that has a verified address and even better, a local telephone number.
