Prescription Glasses Guide

Can someone tell me where to buy cheap varifocals from as My current glasses are no good anymore and the prescription needs to be updated. I would prefer to use my own frame and my budget limit is around £140 but I need good lenses not the crap that you get at Tesco or Specsavers. My last pair cost me £350 but I'm in between jobs at the moment so I need quality but at a low price.

I bought my eyeglasses from online stores. Maybe you can search the words
“cheap varifocals” in google, and then look for a suitable store according to
its reviews. Usually the price of online stores is cheaper than local stores.

The first ever pair of varifocals I bought were from Specsavers which were fairly cheap (£100) and I returned them after 2 Weeks as they made me feel sick every time I turned my head. I went back to having 2 pairs after that as the whole experience put me off.

2 years later I went into an independant opticians and he talked me into a very expensive pair of varifiocals made by Varilux. They cost me nearly £350 but they were a million times better than the cheap ones from Specsavers. I could turn my head and not feel sick and the vision was so much clearer. I have now been wearing these lenses for 8 years. So you see, it pays to get a good pair if you want them to work properly.
